Recompression chambers across Mexico

Making Mexico a safer place to dive since 1987.

Medical & response capability

Staffed to a standard, not a roster.

SSS staffs every location to a common standard, not a common roster. The roles below describe capability, not people. Coverage, certification and response readiness stay the same across the network, even where names and schedules change locally.

Hyperbaric Medicine Physician

A physician is on call for chamber treatment decisions. At larger sites, these physicians are board certified and also trained in other emergency medicine specialties.

Dive Medical Officer

Assesses dive injuries on arrival and selects the treatment table, including cases that need mixed-gas COMEX tables.

Diver Medical Technician

First response and neurological assessment for decompression illness, working the network's double-lock multiplace chambers.

Chamber Operator

Runs pressurization and treatment tables, and supports technician and physician transfer without interrupting an active treatment.

Emergency Medical Technician

First-response and stabilization coverage, coordinated with each site's partner hospital.

Patient Tender

Accompanies every patient inside the chamber for the whole treatment.

Operations & Training Lead

Certified as an EMT and as a dive-safety instructor, and coordinates readiness with the region's affiliated dive operators.

Consulting Specialists

Referral access to ENT, internal medicine and orthopedic physicians through each site's partner hospital.
